OBJECTIVE
OF THE PROJECT:
i.
Quality
access to Education for the most vulnerable, especially girls.
ii.
To
empower Pakistan girls for, avoiding
societal embarrassment, forgoing baseless superstitions, reasoning against the
illogical, keeping up with evolutions, Ethical values that help make the world
more peaceful, a longer and disease free life in this planet.
RATIONALE OF THE PROJECT:
- The over all
literacy rate of Pakistan is 58%, with only 23% female literates. In rural
areas the literacy ratio of men to women is 70% to 20% respectively. In
terms of figures, it simply means there are 57 million illiterates in
Pakistan, most of them are female.
- Pakistan is among
those countries, who has not achieved MDGs and EFA well in time (2015) and
seems far from achieving SDGs by 2030 with the current pace in development.
- Every year
approximately 1.6 million individuals are added to the pool of illiterates
in Pakistan in which 80% are females.
- The proposed project
will contribute in ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education at
grass roots level in urban and rural Pakistan by awareness of mass
community, advocacy towards female education and creation of pool of girls
youth assembly across the country
- FEHRO is a female
human rights organization working in the field of females rights since
1998, based at Swat while during talibanization and militancy era the
organization shifted its set up to Islamabad, in order to easily work for
women.
In view of the above rationale
and the fact that Education is crucial for Human and Economic Development of
any nation imperative that such project are undertaken to create social
tolerance and harmony.
THE PROJECT GOAL:
Contribute to SDG goal 4 - achieving a 100 per cent enrollment and 90
% literacy rate with quality education by 2030. It aims at addressing the
gender equity issue with regards to literacy and improving retention and
acquisition of academic skills of students in education. Studies have shown
that one of the major causes of low learning in
students, and consequently high dropouts, at primary education, is lack of
support to the students at home, due to non-availability of literate care
givers /mothers at homes, conservative society, unaware parents and cultural
constraints. The let girls learn program targets these very care givers of the
enrolled students attempting to make them educate to supervise the children in
their academic assignments at home and in school. The proposed program intends
to provide access to education to girls across the country.

HELP DESK:
LGL has a number of girl’s students, facing a large number of questions,
issues difficulties and problems in a book. In order to reduce the drawbacks
and fill the gaps on the part of girl’s education the solution has been to
create the help desk staffed by technically savvy consultant knowledge in the
various features used in the education program, with the ability to:
·
Troubleshoot the problems
·
To answer frequently asked question and most
importantly
·
Refer difficult questions for reference and
research needs. This triage style of assisting user has proved to be useful in
that it enables the program more qualitative.
·
Establish assessment tools and formats particularly
on TNA of learners, teachers and SOs, which further demonstrates the need for changing the training context
and provision of support.
