World Great Reformer Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Gave the Religious Freedom
World Great Reformer Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH)
1. Religious Freedom
Some narrow-minded Muslims today pursue non-Muslims for profanity.
In difference, the Holy Quran states that “there is no force in religion” but,
few know of its context. Before the migration of Prophet Muhammad to Madina
Munawara, some polytheists in the town had devoted their children to be raised
in the monotheistic Jewish custom. After converting to Islam, the parents objected
to this when the Jewish guardians took the children with them. However, the
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) refused them permission to by force carry back their
children or to convert them to Islam in the light of this Quranic verse.
Moreover, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) allowed Najrani Christian
priests to offer their prayers in His mosque (Masjid) and to have an open
religious discussion before an listeners. Moreover, He later wrote them a order
that declared “No pressure is to be on them; No one is to demolish a house of
their belief, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims’
houses; they are my partners and have my secure charter against all that they
hate.”
